UPDATE (28/8): All Groups are now filled except for Group G — we have room for up to four more double-digit kyus. Get in touch if you want one of those places.
Entries are open now for the second season of the IGA League. We have a limited number of places open for players between 2d and 20k — to secure one of these coveted places, email the League Commissioner at development@irish-go.org, or message blee.dublin on OGS or Discord. Places will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. Entry to the League is free to members of the Irish Go Association. For non-IGA members the entry fee is €5, but you must belong to another EGF association (this is a requirement for all EGF-rated online tournaments.)
Games will start in October and run through to January, with a few weeks’ break over Christmas. You will get 6–8 hard-fought games on a roughly two-weekly schedule, playing two games agains each other player in your group. At the end of the season, group winners enjoy the glory of promotion (and a small prize) while those at the bottom of their groups face the ignominy of relegation. The League is an EGF Class D tournament so dust off your most crushing tesujis and prepare for battle!
You can check the current roster on the League page — if your name is not there and you think it should be, contact the Commissioner ASAP.
