The Top 8 took place this weekend in Dublin, despite the best efforts of the weather gods to disrupt things with a heavy fall of snow on Friday morning.

Lu Xinqun went undefeated, winning the top bracket with victories over Xu Mushi, Przemek Dyszczyk, and John Courtney, and securing his place in the Championship final.

Reigning champion Philippe Renaut lost in the first round to Liu Dewei, but fought his way back into contention through the backdoor bracket, defeating Roman Pszonka, Przemek Dyszczyk, and Peter Kasko.

Philippe must now play John Courtney to decide the second place in the final. The game date is not yet settled.
