The second game in the Championship proved just as bloody as the first, but this time Lu Xinqun had the upper hand and it was Philippe Renaut who was unsuccessfully struggling for life. Taking the white stones, Xinqun allowed Philippe three corners, staking the game on an imposing central moyo. When the inevitable invasion came, Xinqun skillfully penned the running stones in, never allowing the black group more than two half-eyes, and ultimately Philippe conceded.
The deciding game will take place next Monday, April 29th, at 8pm on OGS.
UPDATE: See below for Philippe’s review of the second game, although as he says himself, this one is “a bit shorter because unfortunately my mistakes were too big to create any suspense.”
