2009 Belfast Open
The Belfast Open tournament will take place at Belfast Boat Club in the Stranmillis area of Belfast on the 26th and 27th of September. Belfast Boat club is close to the city centre and thus relatively easy to find. There is ample free car parking space beside the venue.
The event will be played in the Function Room of Belfast Boat Club, which is adjacent to the bar. (You can ask at reception if you get lost.) The Belfast Open is an EGF Class B tournament, and will count toward both Irish Korea Points and the British Stacey points.

Japanese Rules, 6.5 komi
50 minutes maintime, 10 seconds 3 times overtime
McMahon tournament, Handicaps MMSΔ-1, SOS only tiebreaker

– Registration: 10:00 to 10:45
– Round 1: 11:00 to 13:00
– Round 2: 14:00 to 16:00
Sunday 27th September
– Round 3: 10:00 to 12:00
– Round 4: 13:30 to 15:30
– Prizegiving 16:00
Entry Fees:
– Normal: 10 pounds
– One Day Only: 6 pounds
– Concessions (Unemployed, Students, OAPs): 7 pounds

Also, for additional navigation we have a
photo of stranmillis roundabout and one of the boat club viewed from the road. To reach the Boat Club from the roundabout, walk past the shops towards the Cutters Wharf pub. Behind the pub is its own car park, and beyond that a public car park for those who wish to walk along the towpath. The Boat Club can be accessed from the towpath, or by walking to the end of the road and turning left. The Boat Club has its own small car park.
