The time has come again for us to offer you the IGA Ulster Open 2025.
Details:
Three rounds, McMahon format, handicap of difference in McMahon Score minus one.
Time Limits (EGF Class B)
Main time: 45 min
Byo-yomi: 3×30 seconds
Date: Saturday March 29th 2025
Entry Fee: £6 (payable at sign-in for IGA 2025 Members or ANY other European Go Federation or Association)
£10 for non-members (You can become an IGA member on the spot)
(Euro equivalent acceptable to people who actually live in the euro zone.) Cash is preferred, Revolut or Bank transfer is also available.
Venue: Lisburn Chess Club, 60-62 Longstone Street, Lisburn. BT28 1TR. map (just search for Lisburn Chess Club. The entrance is down Tonagh Avenue. You should see lots of posters up in the upstairs windows.)

Please email at least the day before, as I need to ensure there are enough boards/clocks. I also need to let Lisburn Chess Club know how many are expected as well. Also, if you’re interested in going out for a meal in the evening, let me know, and we’ll arrange something.
How to get to Lisburn:
From Dublin: The enterprise train doesn’t stop at Lisburn as such, but you get off at Portadown where they have a slower train waiting on you that will stop at Lisburn. The bus to Belfast stops at Sprucefield shopping centre. There are connecting buses to the centre of Lisburn.
From Belfast international airport: The Ulsterbus (109A) service operates between Lisburn Rail Station, Belfast International Airport and Antrim Buscentre. For timetable visit Translink website.
From Belfast itself: There are direct trains and buses to Lisburn from the Belfast Grand Central station.
