Anti-Doping Policy
The International Go Federation is working toward the inclusion of Go in the Olympic Movement. As a result it is seeking IOC membership, and this requires it to comply with WADA (World Anti Doping Authority) regulations. This means that Go players can be tested for the use of prohibited substances.
The IGF has provided information for all its members on their new anti doping policy. As well as detailing the prohibited list, this information includes advice on what to do if you take medication on the prohibited list.
For the foreseeable future, only those who participate in International Events, such as the World Amateur Go Championship, could be tested.
Thus, those seeking to represent Ireland at international events should take note of these policies. The IGA fully supports said policies, and will enforce them.
