16 Oct – Cork Go Tournament

Word has reached us from southern climes that the UCC Club are organising another Go tournament. This year it will be a 5 round Swiss, taking place on the 7th and 8th of December, in the Western Gateway Building of the UCC Campus. Check the website for full details.

13 Oct – KPMC

Colin MacSweeny represented Ireland this year at the Korean Prime Minister’s Cup. The full results are available at wbaduk. Colin finished in 46th place, with a balanced effort of 3 wins and 3 losses. His victims were the Philippines, Azerbaijan, and Portugal. Well done Colin!

Oct 10 – Irish Final begins

The Irish Final finally kicked off last night in the new venue of the Dublin club – the Baggot Inn. Noel Mitchell (black) lived inside of Roman Pszonka’s moyo to clinch the first game. Will he manage to find a second victory to move to 16 titles? Read on to see the game

Belfast players did well at the popular Isle of Man Go Congress last week. James Hutchinson(1d) claimed a top ten finish in the main tournament with 3/5, and 2nd in the afternoon tournament with 2/3.
