Ireland’s campaign to top League C was thrown into disarray tonight. The higher rated Slovakia trounced us by 4-0, with a default point on top. Lets wish for better luck against Slovenia in the next round.

As the UCC Open got underway in Cork, the Irish Final was being played out on KGS. Roman Pszonka (white) won against James Hutchinson by resignation after a nasty ko fight. If Roman wins again next week, we will have a new Irish Champion. You can download the game here.

The 23rd International Amateur Pair Go Championship took place this weekend in Japan. Ireland were represented by Sheena Walsh and Ken Savage. They scored 1/5 to take 29th place, success coming against a Chinese pair. Congratulations to them! Official website and actual game below…
