Cork will see its first Go tournament, with UCC hosting an event on Saturday the 19th of January. A 4 round McMahon rapid event is planned. Full details can be found here.

The Becks-Pembroke tournament ended with a much anticipated game between Michael (4k) and Nannan (3d).Michael managed to keep his lead during the game and grabbed a convincing victory, making him the first winner of this new event. After weeks 2 & 3 of the Becks Tournament, we’re down to two players in the first half of the draw: John and Michael, and Nannan in the bottom half. Check out the results of week 2 and week 3.

The first round of the Becks Tournament got off to a flying start, with 18 entrants.  Strengths ranged from 20k to 3d.
