Online Interprovincials 2009
The online Interprovincial tournament will take place from November 2009. All games will be played on KGS
Rules:
– Japanese Rules
– 45 minutes maintime, 15 stones in 5 minutes overtime
– Handicap -2 (Use Offline Ranks for handicap) eg. 4k – 7k = 2 stones
– If there is no handicap please Nigiri for colours
Format:
-Teams must consist of 3 players, but you can switch players between rounds.
– Additionally, if both teams agree, you can expand the playing field. If you have an even number of players the winner on the top board is the tiebreaker.
– Team Captains should try to arrange a suitable playing time to play all the matches together. If this doesn’t work out, games can be arranged individually.
– The board order for each team will be set by rank, running from strongest on top board, to the weakest on the bottom board
– If there are 3 provinces then it will be an all play all event. Match points will be used to decide the winners.
– If there -are all 4 provinces then it will be a knockout.
Team Captains:
Leinster: Eoghan Barry (rottenhat)
Munster: Rosy Wales (rorywales)
Ulster: James Hutchinson (jameshut)
Connacht: Colin MacSweeny (thirdeye)
News: As of the 7th of November, we have all 4 provinces able to field a team. Therefore we have a knockout format. After Novalys performed the draw for us, we have the draw ready.
