2011 Irish Championship Table
The Top 8 Tournament is played annually to determine who will compete for the title of Irish Champion. The tournament takes the form of an eight-player league, with each competitor playing a single match against the others. The top four finishers each year automatically qualify for the following year’s Top 8 tournament with the remaining places filled by the top finishers in the Ladder Tournament.

The Top 8 kick off weekend again took place in the Burlington Hotel. John Gibson unfortunately had to miss the first 2 rounds and defaulted (d) those games.
The first game in the final took place on the 20th of August, Ian (white) won against James by 13.5 points. The next two games took place on the 3rd and 10th of December and were both won by James, first by 0.5 points then by 2.5 points.
